If it doesn't work...why keep doing it?

Updated: Jul 23

It has been said that the definition of 'Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different outcome.' Anyone who has faced a problem in business knows this...or they are out of business. Yet in Washington our elected officials just seem to believe that more of the same will magically lead to a better outcome. One might question why we continue to mostly elect officials that fit the definition for insanity, but that's probably not for LinkedIn. Yet, believe it or not, even the most polarizing figures are able to suggest ideas that are worth a listen.

Alright, let's take a deep breath and brace ourselves, because for some in the realm of politics, suggesting that Donald Trump might have a decent idea is akin to wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat to a hipster coffee shop.

Regardless of your political affiliation take note, Brian Wesbury at First Trust Advisors, one of the best economists on Wall Street, has written an interesting piece about one of The Donald's recent ideas. Remember, exploring different perspectives and ideas is crucial for growth and progress, even if they come from unexpected sources. Let’s keep an open mind. And if you’d like more details about Trump’s idea, feel free to share, and I’ll be happy to discuss it further!
